The Richmond Education and Event Centre offers a range of room hire and education options. This landmark Dublin building has been beautifully refurbished, providing excellent IT and AV facilities.
The building was originally opened in 1901 as The Richmond Surgical Hospital. The Richmond still holds much of its original character; a U-shaped building with side wings complete with verandas, a redbrick exterior and a paved courtyard, making it a unique event space.
The Richmond has an auditorium and a number of conference rooms and meeting rooms, which have excellent IT and AV facilities. Seating can be arranged in a variety of styles to meet your requirements.
We facilitate educational, corporate and social events and we cater for small and large groups. In addition, the Richmond through INMOProfessional, offers a wide range of education options for nurses and midwives.
The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation has a long and successful history of providing continuing professional development events for its members which now take place at The Richmond.
The Richmond Education and Event Centre is located close to Dublin city centre, just a few minutes’ walk from Smithfield, making it easily accessible by Luas (Smithfield and Broadstone stops) and train (Heuston and Connolly stations are just a short Luas journey away).

As a former hospital and Courthouse, the Richmond has unique architectural features, an auditorium, small and large rooms and even a prison cell!
